FREE - Document Assembler & Sample Libraries Download Instructions:
When you click on the link below, you will be transferred to our FTP server where you can download the files you need for Microsoft Word or WordPerfect to install MentorDocs with a free document library.
The files are sent to you as self-extracting archives. If you are on a network, you may need administrator rights to download and unpack the files. If you are unsure, or cannot download and unpack the files, check with your network administrator about how to do this.
Perform the following steps:
1. Print this page for reference.
2. Click on the link below to transfer to our FTP server.
3. In the window that opens, double click on the file "UnpackMentor.exe".
4. Select "Save" in the dialog box that opens.
5. Select or create a folder to receive the file in the Navigation Window that opens to show the files and folders located on your computer. Be sure to remember where you saved the file. It might be a good idea to write it down.
6. After file transfer is complete, exit your web browser.
7. Point at the "Start" button in the lower left hand corner of your computer screen, then right click your mouse.
8. Select "Explore" from the list that appears.
9. Go to the folder where you downloaded the file in step 5 above and double click on "UnpackMentor.exe" (the extension ".exe" may not show on your computer if you "hide extensions for known file types").
10. Double click "Setup.exe" to install MentorDocs with a free document library.
11. For macros to purge MetaData from your word processed documents, double click "MetaData | MSWord" or "MetaData | WordPerf", then double click on the file "ReadMe". Follow the instruction in the ReadMe file to install and use the macro. You can use these macros whether or not you also install our Document Assembler.
